A new deck of cards "Dark Tarot Royo", filled with deep, powerful, erotic fantasies, reflected in the illustrations of all 78 cards, made by the master of fantasy Luis Royo, who opens the door to the bloody and passionate Gothic world, and to the tremulous universe of the soul.
Royo was born in Ollala, Spain in 1954. He graduated from the design school in Zaragoza with a degree in interior design. At the same time, he took up painting, participating in professional exhibitions from the mid-70s. In 1981, Louis began working for Heavy Metal Magazine, drawing comics. Since 1983 he has been working as an illustrator for book and magazine covers, moving around Europe and America. Royo's most famous works are images of naked women in fantastic settings, sometimes with weapons. This style makes him similar to Boris Vallejo and Frank Frazetta. Royo's own work has influenced a number of contemporary artists, among whom is Victoria Frances.
The Dark Tarot Royo is considered quite difficult to perceive and work. And no wonder: the deck requires deep immersion and a significant amount of knowledge.
